The Youth in Nature Partnership is collaborative effort of six creative and conscientious environmental organizations that work closely with youth and the outdoors in our local community. The members consist of the Bureau of Land Management, Friends of Buford Park & Mt. Pisgah, Northwest Youth Corps, Mount Pisgah Arboretum, United States Forest Service, and Willamette Resources & Educational Network. The partners came together from a growing concern regarding the decline in children participating in outdoor activities. Each partner organization brings a unique slant to the partnership – as well as an opportunity to reconnect children with nature. From education to service learning to just plain fun – each organization values the wonder of nature and the ways it inspires children. Below is a list of our current events for the autumn/winter season.
